Where Wild Hearts Roam
Where Wild Hearts Roam was inspired by a hike with a good friend to Cream Lake in Strathcona Provincial Park. There is no doubt in my mind that Cream Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes I have ever seen. It was a grueling 12.7 km to the base of the breath taking Mount Septimus. As I stood exhausted, elated and humbled by these majestic mountains a poem ran through my mind. It was written by a dear friend who goes by the pen name of @Anomaleye:
People like you and I, we don't belong in a club.
Instead, find us howling under the moon, barefoot
dancing to the cracking sounds of the bonfire.
Souls set ablaze, consumed in connecting flames.
That kind of energy only to be found in the land
where wild hearts run.
A place where only a few brave and free souls go.
